Modern Day Slavery Policy

Modern day slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights.  It takes various forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person’s liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.

Evolve Dynamics have a zero-tolerance approach to modern day slavery and we are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships and to implement and enforce effective systems and controls to ensure modern day slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or our supply chain.

Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 mandates that commercial organisations with an annual turnover in excess of £36M per year must disclose their policies and provide information regarding slavery and human trafficking.  As an SME, Evolve Dynamics are not required to make this disclosure, but we are dedicated to ensuring that our employees and suppliers take necessary measures to minimise the risk of human trafficking and slavery in all aspects of our business and supply chain.

Evolve Dynamics and Supply Chain

Evolve Dynamics is committed to ensuring there is transparency in our own business and in our approach to tackling modern day slavery throughout our supply chain.  We expect the same high standards from all of our contractors, suppliers and other business partners.

Evolve Dynamics operates in the UK and Ukraine, employing approximately 70 staff. It regularly works with around 600 suppliers, with 80% of its subcontracted products and services being sourced from UK suppliers. Of the 20% of products and services sourced from international partners, the majority come from nations considered low risk in terms of violating modern-day slavery legislation, namely North America and Europe. The market in which Evolve Dynamics operates consists of “blue chip” suppliers producing high-tech equipment. As a result, Evolve Dynamics considers the overall risk in its supply chain to be very low. Despite this assessment, Evolve Dynamics has established policies to mitigate risks applicable to staff and suppliers.

Human Rights

Evolve Dynamics expects its suppliers to treat people with respect and dignity, encourage diversity and diverse opinions, promote equal opportunity for all, and help create an inclusive and ethical culture.

Human Trafficking

Evolve Dynamics requires its suppliers to refrain from using forced, bonded, or indentured work, including debt bondage, involuntary prison labour, slavery, or human trafficking. This involves using coercion, threats, force, abduction, or fraud to transfer, harbour, recruit, receive, or transport vulnerable people with the intention of exploiting them.

Child Labour

Any individual who is younger than the minimum legal age to work in the area where the work is done is referred to as a “child.” Evolve Dynamics demands that its suppliers make sure that no child labour is utilised during the course of doing business.

Compliance with the Policy

Every employee of Evolve Dynamic is obliged to abstain from any actions that could result in or imply a violation of this policy. Everyone who works for Evolve Dynamics or is under our supervision, has a duty to prevent, detect, and report instances of modern-day slavery in any area of our business or supply chain.

If any employee thinks or suspects that there has been, or could be, a conflict with this policy, they have an obligation to report the matter to their manager as soon as feasible.

Every employee is urged to report concerns as soon as they become aware of any possibility of modern-day slavery in any area of our company or in the supply chains of any supplier tier.

Any employee who violates this policy will be subject to disciplinary action, which may include termination for serious or wilful misconduct.

Communication and awareness of this policy

Training on this policy, and on the risk our business faces from modern slavery in its supply chains, will be provided as necessary. Our zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery must be communicated to all suppliers, contractors, and business partners at the outset of our business relationship with them and reinforced as appropriate thereafter.
