Evolve Dynamics gets military approval from MoD
Evolve Dynamics has been endorsed as a suitable manufacturer to provide Class 1b UAS to the MoD.
The Ministry of Defence’s DE&S unmanned air systems team recently completed the audit and passed the Guildford-based firm.
Evolve Dynamics explained to Commercial Drone Professional how, without the approval, it is not possible for the MoD to purchase any aircraft.
As part of its release, Evolve Dynamics detailed that for example, DJI does not have such approval and therefore is unable to sell to the MoD.
Commenting on how his firm received the approval, Mike Dewhirst, founder, commented: “Our exclusive UK MoD reseller Operational Solutions helped us with this and we are now accelerating our efforts with a number of units within the MoD who have become interested in our system in the recent months.”
Last month, CDP caught up with Mike Dewhirst at Evolve to discuss his plans for expansion.
